  1. Reviewed Self is built around the CARE system.
  2. CARE is an acronym that stands for: Capture, Assess, Review and Evolve.
  3. Most personal review systems are focused on the weekly or monthly time scale.
  4. That means you will not have had enough time to gain true insights and you are making changes based on your immediate reaction to events in your life.
  5. CARE helps you take the long view to make sure you have the full picture before making changes.
  6. The end goal of the entire system is bring you insights that feed into your Success Behaviors.
  7. Behaviors that allow you to live a full and meaningfull life based on your own experience.
  8. These can not be conjured out of thin air or on a mere hunch.
  9. So, let’s take a closer look at the CARE system.
  10. The first step is the weekly Capture of data.
  11. This is where you gather the information you need to see patterns and trends in your life over time.
  12. It does not take much time every week, but the library of data points will supply you with the information you need to understand yourself better and better.
  13. The next step is to Assess. We do this at the end of the month.
  14. During the assessment you will look for patterns that bring you insights about yourself.
  15. Maybe something you thought was not a big deal during your weekly capture has now turned into a bit of a mess, or vice versa.
  16. The assessment is an opportunity for you to connect dots.
  17. The third step is the Review that happens at the end of each quarter.
  18. Now it is time to make some meaning out of your patterns and trends and understand the long view of your data points.
  19. You'll decide which of your insights hold up over time and make course corrections and updates to your Success Behaviors.
  20. The final part of CARE is Evolve.
  21. You will engage in evolution on an annual basis.
  22. This is the time to do a deep dive into your patterns, insights and current Success Behaviors and give yourself an upgrade before your new trip around the sun.
  23. Reviewed Self also comes with Reflections. These are mini-reviews tailored to specific areas or situations in your life.
  24. They are built to fast track insights for you.
  25. If this feels like a lot, remember, you don’t need to understand the CARE system for it to be useful to you. The entire process is built into Reviewed Self.
